I spent a couple hours playing Saturday night and got to mid17 before I called it a night.
One of the first things I did was go back into WG for some more honor. I bailed when it turtled, but happened to be right at 100 honor. I then hoofed it over to Alterac Valley to buy the two PvP bags. Low and behold, the vendor was hostile. D’oh!!! I should have known better, but man, that stung. I’m already juggling space and am only about 1/4 the way through Honored on my two highest reps so it’ll be awhile before I see any bigger bags. It wasn’t a total waste of a trip as I got about 1/2 a level of discovery XP and about 15 Herbalism points as Mageroyal grows like crazy around Hillsbrad Foothills.
The bags are really an issue. Having Skinning and Herbalism, as well as keeping all the green/blue drops/rewards is filling up my bags fast. I haven’t even picked up fishing yet, but until I get more bag space, doubt I’ll bother. Pretty soon, I’m going to have to decide what to start tossing. I’ll probably keep any blue weapons I get as they DE into shards, but I’m going to have to think about my best space-management strategy to get me through all Leatherworking and Enchanting.
One other thing I noticed, was there seems to be a lot more brawling-like quests for Horde than I remember there being in Alliance (unless they added them in Cat of course). In Northern Barrens, you knock some guy out and drag him around as well as start a bar fight in Booty Bay…kinda fun.
I did my first dungeon run through The Deadmines. Man, has that place changed. It was a lot shorter than I remembered it being…but then again, when I first started playing WoW 6 years ago with two of my friends we wiped in Deadmines a good 10 or 12 times before we realized the perks of having a healer. Towards then end of my first run, I realized I didn’t have a tabard on, which was a wasted opportunity. I told myself to go get one, but never did. After the run, I flew back to Orgrimmar and got a Bilgewater Cartel Tabard. I figure I won’t be able to do the starter-zone quests so getting that rep will be the most work.
I’ve also dropped a few quests. Its always been the case where you level faster than the number of quests, but I am looking them up first as I don’t want to drop any quests that reward reputation.
