Rolling your class is almost entirely personal preference, but there’s a couple things that I believe are worth considering.
- Pallies and Druids: These two classes are unique in that they can serve any roll…tank, healer, or DPS. This leaves their queue times for dungeon runs almost non existence.
- Priests, Warriors, and Shammies: These classes have access to two rolls, which will drop their dungeon queue times a bit…not as much as Pallies and Druids, but still much better than DPS-only queues.
- Mages, Warlocks, Rogues, and Hunters: These are the pure-DPS classes and your dungeon queue times are always going to be fairly significant.
- Hunters and Pallies: While every class has its examples of great players, I think its a fairly safe statement that Hunters and Pallies are generally stronger than other classes. To illustrate, lets take one player and clone him. Give the player a Hunter or a Pally and give the clone any other class. I personally believe that the player will beat his clone significantly more often than not.
