I thought I’d piggy back off WG strat post and reveal my sure-fire strat at winning AB. My pretty-much-without-exception opening strat for AB is to run up to Lumber Mill and pop into stealth right before I crest the hill. Then I do two things. 1) Head straight towards the bushes and 2) mourn the death of anyone who followed behind me.
I do this because the Alliance’s pretty-much-without-except strat seems to be to send a full 5-7 man team through LM and onto either BS or Farm. I just wait for them to cap the LM flag and move on. At worst, they’ll leave 2-3 guys to guard the flag. At best, they’ll leave it exposed. If its a group of 3 or 2 (with a two pallies), I’ll usually wait until help arrives, but if its any other mix of 2, I’ll go ahead and sink my teeth in and see how it goes. Even if I’m just hanging out and watching two pallies, I figure its two pallies that aren’t somewhere else on the map.
My only exception to this is if a large enough group followed me to actually take on that initial wave (which is pretty seldom), then I’ll lay into a healer.
That’s it. Horde wins. Game over.
